Better than ministers

     One day, a poor washer loaded clothes onto the back of his donkey and climbed on.

     While on the road, some people lauged at him and loudly declared while pointing, "Hey! Look! A fool is riding anather fool!"

     The washer replied, "He is no fool, for my donkey is smarter than the king's ministers!"

     Soon, the washer's comment reached the king's ears. He summoned the washer and asked, "What had made you claim that your donkey was so smart?"

     "Your Majesty, one day as we crossed a bridge, my donkey's feet were caught in a gap between two slabs of wood. Since then, each time he reaches that spot, my donkey remembers to cross the bridge carefully. In contrast, your ministers have been spending money from the royal treasury again and again yet, they have not learned to fix their mistakes while my donkey can immediately learn his."

     After hearing this, the king scolded his ministers. From then on, the king started to carefully keep an eye on their spending
