A MOUSE AND A LION

Once upon a time, there lived a lion in a forest. One day after a heavy meal, he took a nap under a tree.

After a while, there came a mouse and it started to play on top of the sleeping lion. Suddenly, the lion furiously got up and started looking for whom had disturbed his slumber. Standing beneath him, the lion saw a small mouse trembling with fear. Savagely, the lion attacked the mouse. Before the lion could finish killing the small critter, the mouse requested the lion for forgiveness. Out of pity, the lion stood up and left, leaving the mouse to run back into the forest.

Days later, the lion had accidentally stepped into a net and was caught by a hunter. Fortunately, the mouse, whom the lion had previously spared, had passed by and helped the lion escape by chewing off the net. Thereafter, the mouse and the lion became friends and lived happily in the forest together.
